Eldridge Gilbert III is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor's degree in Africana Studies and Psychology. Following Brown, Eldridge joined Teach For America in Houston, TX. During his time in Houston, he earned his MBA from the Jones School of Business at Rice University. Eldridge was the Founding School Principal of YES Prep North Forest, a 6th-12th-grade school in Houston serving 850 students.
After 6 years as School Principal, Eldridge transitioned to serve as the Managing Director of Schools for KIPP Bay Area Public Schools. In this role, he managed, advised, and evaluated eight School Principals across the Bay Area. Eldridge currently lives in Brooklyn and serves as the Chief Schools Officer for Coney Island Prep Schools.
Eldridge formally began coaching in 2016, taking on a part-time role of Principal Success Coach for the KIPP Foundation. Over the last five years, Eldridge has had coaching clients (across multiple career fields, including education, law, and health. His passion is truly helping clients uncover solutions to their challenges through coaching frameworks, asking the right questions, and encouraging clients throughout each session.
In addition to coaching, El has nearly ten years of experience presenting on topics specifically related to values, leadership development, and diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the workplace. In addition, El enjoys running, biking, reading, and spending time with family, especially his new nephew, Jake.
Eldridge is a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP). He completed a year-long coaching certification with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) in 2019.
